Independent from Operating System - works for Win/Mac/Linux
Built upon Java technology, the LabImage platform and all of its modules will run on common operating systems. Additionally, the user interface always resembles the operating system's look and feel - under Windows, MacOS X and Linux - without any need for emulation and with no performance loss. Boasting a higher performance than many other Java applications, the LabImage platform guarantees full interoperability even in complex environments with mixed operating systems. There is no need for emulation on the target system since the LabImage Platform runs as a native software. The user interface is adapted to the host system: LabImage looks like a typical Windows application on a windows system or has the typical look and feel of a Mac OS X application.
LabImage Platform runs on the following operating systems:
- Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7
- Mac OS X, starting at 10.5
- Linux Systems (SUSE, Red Hat, Debian)
Running the LabImage Platform requires a Java Runtime environment (Java virtual machine) which can be obtained from java.com. Since the LabImage Platform is based on a virtual machine it will run on selected embedded system as well.
Depending on the running application the system requirements of the LabImage Platform require standard hardware components as:
- CPU with 1GHz, 2 GHz Multicore CPU is recommended
- 512 MB Working Memory, 2 GB is recommended
