The new LabImage 1D - based on the LabImage Platform
LabImage 1D gel analysis (LabImage 1D) is a flexible solution with strong image analysis algorithms, applicable also for DNA or protein testing and western blotting techniques. Due to its workflow-based concept, this application has become a prime example of software usability. Based on the latest technology, this application works with both Mac and the latest Windows versions and requires no special user training. Customizable reporting and several data export options make the LabImage 1D application one of the most advanced software solutions in 1D gel electrophoresis. Kapelan Bio-Imaging continues to enhance the software with new up-to-date features and provides a full range of LabImage applications - for easy-to-use automated detection software stemming from one source.
LabImage 1D will be the first application we bring to the LabImage platform.
So let's take a look at the features:
| Former LabImage 1D | LabImage 1D on Platform | ||
|---|---|---|---|
| User Interface | LabImage 1D is based on a workflow guided user interface. Views provide information about the analysis. | ||
| No selectable tools |
A toolbar was added to the workflow. These tools will make it easier for the user to pick actions as ROI definition, bent lanes or load MW markers. Views reflect information on the selected object in the editor. |
||
| Undo/Redo | |||
| Not available | Every step as lane detection, manual corrections or image filters can be un-/ re-done. | ||
| Multiple Projects | |||
| only single project at the same time | Several projects can be opened at the same time. The user can switch between them very easy. | ||
| Licensing | |||
| USB dongle based licenses |
Besides USB dongles, software dongles are available now. Software dongles are license files that will be stored on the clients computer. We can deliver your license much faster avoiding extra shipping cost. |
||
| Data Storage | |||
| File System based | All data is stored in a database. The database can be located locally (single user) or on the network (multi user). | ||
| GLP/FDA 21 CFR Part 11 | |||
| not available |
Starting from L340, LabImage 1D will provide a fully FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance. The GLP version will be one of the easiest 1D analysis tools. Users just need to login and run the regular analysis steps or use the batch mode. All of the documentation work for audit trails is done in background. The features are: - user right management and access control (separate tool) - approve and disapprove process based on user rights - generate audit trials logging each analysis step, export data as report - secure data storage |
||
| Automated Processes | |||
| not available | LabImage 1D L360 will provide a tool to record your gel analysis (walk through), stores and applies them for any other analysis. So LabImage can be used as an automated 1D analysis tool. | ||
| Correct Band Smile | |||
| not available | LabImage 1D L360 will provide band smile correction to even better quantification. | ||
| Multiple ROI | |||
| not available | LabImage 1D L360 will provide multiple ROI so you can define several ROI in a single gel image. | ||
About LabImage 1D - Your 1D Gel Analysis Software
Ranging from basic requirements with LabImage 1D L300 up to the highly advanced LabImage 1D L340, scientists will easily find the most suitable solution for their needs. All versions provide full 16-bit image processing, a high automatic detection rate, flexible licensing as well as fast and reliable analyses. Optimized algorithms will even find bent or non-vertical lines and users can improve lane detection with a manual correction. With the powerful RF calibration, users can virtually correct the position of the bands before running a molecular weight calculation. The software provides normalization for single bands, groups of bands and lanes, a wide range of background subtraction methods, various options for 2D and 3D documentation as well as reporting templates and customized reports.
Customers do not need to buy pre packed packages but can always decide to purchase just the right solution for them. The entry-level version LabImage L300 requires hardly any training and can even be used by beginners due to its step-by-step approach. LabImage L320 provides a more complete toolset for 1D gel analysis with automatic lane and band detection, quantification and MW calculation while the strong background noise reduction featured in LabImage L340 result in extremely fast, yet reliable results. Whatever application the customer chooses, he or she can also decide to run the platform within a GxP environment as the LabImage platform also offers a specific GxP-compliant module.
